Saint Laurent Paris

perhaps my thoughts on this collection would be different, if hedi slimane had solely focused on a vision, where the classic suits were the inspiration and we had seen less or non at all of the dresses and capes. i think it would have kept the essence of yves saint laurent, still retaining the minimalism and vision.

i had assumed that i would be left speechless, that i would be overwhelmed with vision, art and yves saint laurent; it's confusing, because i am speechless and my heart numbed by the suits, pussy bows and minimalism, but the dresses, the colour, the capes. confusing, because hedi slimane definitely had a message, perhaps too many for this spring/summer collection? therefore i have chosen to share the garments that are everything that i wanted from hedi slimane this coming spring/summer.

i agree with vogue that he definitely did something inspiring with the yves saint laurent seventies characteristics that i am surely appreciative of, but i think that we need to see more from hedi slimane to see, where he directs saint laurent paris, as it is now refereed to.

"it was refreshing to see him do something so different with the Seventies era - there was no lounge luxe or bohemian flower power here, these were girls with serious rock credentials"

i know that this collection has divided fashion hearts, but what do you think?
